Abstract
Se define un proceso de electrólisis para la recuperación de metal de una solución acuosa. Al electrolizar la solución el metal se deposita sobre una superficie de deposición de un cátodo. El proceso incluye el paso de inducir una densidad de corriente no -uniforme a través de la superficie de deposición a fin de formar áreas de elevada densidad de corriente Inter.-espaciadas por áreas de baja densidad de corriente. Se define asimismo una celda electrolítica para la electro-recuperación de metal de una solución acuosa. La celda incluye un cátodo el cual incluye una superficie de deposición sobre la cual el metal se deposita ante la electrolización de la solución acuosa. Con la celda en condiciones operativas, la superficie de deposición presenta un campo eléctrico n-uniforme que presenta áreas de campo eléctrico Inter.-espaciadas con áreas de campo eléctrico débil. La diferencia entre las áreas de campo eléctrico fuerte y las áreas de campo eléctrico débil resulta suficiente para causar que la deposición de metal se concentre sobre las áreas de campo eléctrico fuerte a fin de promover una deposición no-uniforme de metal sobre la superficie.
