Abstract
Un método para preparar composiciones aceptoras de electrones estables con estados de separación de carga fotoinducidos que comprende los siguientes pasos: A) la disolución de un polímero orgánico que posee cadenas laterales derivadas con grupos de fosfonato o arsenato en una solución; B) el agregado de una solución que comprende iones o un metal trivalente o tetravalente del Grupo III, IVA o IVB, con un número atómico de por lo menos 21 o un lantánido; C) la degradación de grupos de fosfonato o arsenato con iones de metal; D) la dialización de la mezcla contra agua destilada para extraer iones libres; E) el agregado de ácido bisfosfónico o bisarsónico; F) la dialización de la mezcla contra agua destilada para extraer iones libres; y, G) la realización en forma reiterada de los pasos B, C, D, E y F. Los complejos de la composición son útiles para la conversión y el almacenamiento de energía solar y como catalizadores para las reacciones de reducción, por ejemplo, la producción de peróxido de hidrógeno a partir de gases de oxígeno e hidrógeno, la producción de gas de H2 a partir de agua, y la reducción de cetonas para formar alcoholes.
