Abstract
Catalizadores para celdas de combustible, y más particularmente catalizadores para celdas de combustible que incluyen soportes de carbono que contienen composiciones que comprenden uno o más metales de transicion en combinacion con nitrogeno (por ejemplo, un nitruro de un metal de transicion) formadas en la superficie de un soporte de carbono o sobre el mismo. Métodos de preparacion de catalizadores para celdas de combustible y uso de los catalizadores para celdas de combustible que se describen en la presente en procesos de generacion de energía eléctrica. Reivindicacion 76: Un proceso para preparar un catalizador para celdas de combustible caracterizado porque comprende una composicion de metales de transicion que comprende un metal de transicion y nitrogeno sobre un soporte de carbono, donde dicho proceso comprende: poner el soporte de carbono en contacto con una fuente de un metal de transicion y un medio líquido que comprende un agente de coordinacion capaz de formar una union coordinada con dicho metal de transicion que sea más estable que la union coordinada entre dicho metal de transicion y agua.
