Abstract

Se presentan proteínas insecticidas aisladas de Bacillus thuringiensis, las cuales son activas contra plagas de insectos lepidópteros. El ADN que codifica para las toxinas insecticidas puede ser utilizado para transformar varios organismos procariontes y eucariontes, para expresar las toxinas insecticidas. Estos organismos recombinantes pueden ser utilizados para controlar insectos lepidópteros en varios ambientes. Gen híbrido. Vector. Célula hospedadora. Planta transgénica. Método para la producción de toxinas. Método para reducir el daño en una planta transgénica causado por insectos.
