Abstract

Sistema y método de gestión de políticas de transferencia continua en donde el ancho de banda se puede asignar en base a la información de dispositivo externo recibida de un dispositivo de cliente de transferencia continua conectado a uno o más dispositivos de audio/video (A/V). Cuando una oficina administrativa de la red de transferencia continua recibe una solicitud del dispositivo de cliente de transferencia continua para suministrar un contenido particular, en donde la solicitud incluye información de dispositivo externo de uno o más dispositivos A/V conectados al dispositivo de cliente de transferencia continua, se determina un ancho de banda para la transferencia continua del contenido particular al dispositivo de cliente de transferencia continua y puede hacer una solicitud a una red de suministro de contenidos para crear un canal de distribución que tiene el ancho de banda para proporcionar el suministro del contenido particular. Se provee un archivo "manifest" al dispositivo de cliente de transferencia continua que incluye uno o más punteros que apuntan a segmentos de contenido del contenido particular.
