Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

 EMI1.1

 EMI1.1

   The properties of the hydrogenated aromatic hydrocarbons (such as, for example, tetraline and decaline), the hydrogenated phenols (such as, for example, hexaline and its homologue, methylhexaline) as pesticides, and the like. between in particular as an insecticide against animal pests are known.

  The use of these compounds is made difficult by the fact that they are in water even when using soap as an emulsifying agent because of the insolubility of the soap in tetralin and the like. Like. Are not emulsifiable. The invention is based on the finding that tetraline, decalin and. Like. In pyridines and quinolines, which also form pesticides, in particular insecticides, are soluble and that these solutions are easily emulsifiable with water even without the addition of soap and form permanent emulsions.

   The use of such emulsions has the advantage that they only contain substances effective as crop protection agents, a non-emulsifiable crop protection agent being made emulsifiable by dissolving it in another crop protection agent.
