Compensated AC motor for single or multi-phase current with different
Brush positions for right and left rotation.
When changing the direction of rotation of compensated AC motors for single or multi-phase current with different brush positions for clockwise and anticlockwise rotation, it is of crucial importance that the brushes are brought into the position where the machine actually works without reactive power every time the direction of rotation is changed. This is important because, if the brushes are in the wrong position, compensated motors consume more reactive power than uncompensated motors, so the purpose of their use is reversed. At the same time, however, it is with compensated engines in contrast to others, z. B.
DC machines, easily only possible through current and power measurements, to check whether the brushes are correctly positioned, so that each time the direction of rotation is changed, either cumbersome measurements are necessary or the possibility of large power losses must be expected. The purpose of the present invention is to ensure a correct brush setting in a simple manner in each case.
For this purpose, u on the rotatably arranged brush glasses. Directional marks indicating the direction of rotation of the motor are attached at two points separated by the brush displacement angle, while the stationary part of the motor has a cutout. The direction marks only appear in the two correct positions of the brush glasses for clockwise and counterclockwise rotation in the cutout provided for this purpose; in all other positions they are covered.
The drawing illustrates an exemplary embodiment provided with the device of the type indicated, u. Between: Fig. 1 shows the engine in front view, Fig. 2 shows the same in side view, partly in section.
The motor housing is provided with a cutout n on the side on which the brush glasses are located, while the brush glasses b have two leaf-shaped lugs c. On the latter, the direction marks indicating the direction of rotation of the motor, z. B. od arrows. Like. Attached. The distance between the two direction marks corresponds to the brush displacement angle.
As can be seen, the position of the brush glasses for the relevant direction of rotation of the motor is the correct one if the direction mark appearing in section a corresponds to the desired direction of rotation. If this is not the case, the brush glasses must be rotated until this occurs.
PATENT CLAIMS:
1. Compensated AC motor for single or multi-phase current with different brush positions for clockwise and counterclockwise rotation, characterized in that the correct brush position for the desired direction of rotation is denoted by a direction mark (s) indicating this direction of rotation, which in a cutout (a) or The like of the motor housing only appears when the brush frame (b) is in the correct position.
