Description
<Desc/Clms Page number 1>
B. in Betracht: p-Chlor-o-toluidin
EMI1.1
CI = 1 : 2 : 5) usw.

Process for producing true colorations on vegetable fibers.
In the German patent specification No. 256999 and a number of others, dyes are described which are formed by combining unsulfated diazo compounds with 2,3-oxynaphthoic acid arylides and can serve, among other things, to produce valuable colorations on fiber materials.
It has now been found that particularly valuable dyeings are obtained if the fiber impregnated with a solution of the 2,3-oxynaphthoic acid-ß-naphthalide is treated with the diazo compounds of amino bases which have substituents in the 2,5-position to the amino group of at least one of which is a chlorine atom. Suitable bases are e.g. B. possible: p-chloro-o-toluidine
EMI1.1
CI = 1: 2: 5) etc.
In addition to a clear shade and good fastness properties, the dyes obtained in this way are particularly notable for their excellent stomach fastness.
Example: Well-boiled and dried yarn is mixed with a solution of
EMI1.2
8 cc Turkish red oil per liter, impregnated, carefully wound and, without drying, in a diazo solution neutralized with chalk, which
2.9 g of p-chloro-o-toluidine or
4.4 g of p-chloro-o-aminodiphenyl ether per liter contains, developed, rinsed and soaped.
In this way, with both amino bases, clear, red dyeings of very good tummy fastness are obtained.
EMI1.3
be generated.
The process can be carried out in the same way with other corresponding, chlorinated amino bases.
