Österreichische PATENTSCHRIFT Nr. 10530.
DR. THEODOR WEYL IN CHARLOTTENBURG.

Austrian PATENT LETTER No. 10530.
DR. THEODOR WEYL IN CHARLOTTENBURG.
Process for the production of a disinfectant with the help of ozone.
From the D. R. P. No. 21906 a method and an apparatus for the production of ozone-containing turpentine oil and to prevent it as a soap additive has become known.
According to this process, turpentine oil is ozonated and the ozonated turpentine oil is added to the soap. According to the present process, on the other hand, soaps without any addition of turpentine oil are treated with ozone and thus converted into technically usable disinfectants. To produce the ozonated soap, soap solutions or soap glue are treated with ozone-containing gases for a long time, as is explained in more detail in the following examples. The ozonated solutions are then evaporated as needed. Example I. The ozone-containing gases are introduced into 5 l of a 2% soap solution for 30 minutes. Example 11. In soap glue, as obtained by precipitating a soap solution by means of a salt, e.g.
B. by means of table salt, is introduced in the cold or with warming to about M) dip ozone-containing gases for 30 minutes. The reaction of the solution to be treated with ozone is kept neutral during the treatment.
EMI1.1
Soap solution or the soap glue obtained according to Example II evaporated in vacuo at a temperature not exceeding 80 to 90, after the soap has been
EMI1.2
evaporation is retained.
