  Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Heilserums gegen Zuckerkrankheit. 



   Es wurde gefunden, dass die Nebennieren einen Stoff enthalten, welcher in den   Kreislauf   gebracht (durch subkutane   oder intravenöse Einspritzung) neben schon früher   bekannten   Erscheinungen regelmässig Glykosurie (Zuckerausscheidung)   hervorruft. Diese Glykosurie ist nur eine kurz dauernde (1-2--3 Tage). Es ist nun weiter gelungen, mit diesem in den Nebennieren enthaltenen Gift Tiere so zu behandeln, dass sie nicht nur   allmählich immer grössere Dosen vertrugen,   sondern dass sich in   ihr") n Blute aueh Schutz-   stoffe bilden und dass diese Schutzstoffe, auf andere Tiere-auch anderer Gattungen- übertragen, diese ebenfalls gegen die Vergiftung mit nebennierensubstanz zu schützen vermögen.

   Es handelt sich hier also   um   die Erzeugung eines Schutzstoffes oder Gegen-   giftes in analoger Weise wie bei anderen bekannten Serumbehandlungen. man kann   wie folgt verfahren: Ein Hund erhält eine subkutane Einspritzung von Nebennierensaft, der zwei Hammelsnebennieren entspricht ; es treten bei ihm dann die bekannten Vergiftungserscheinungen auf, er ist 2 bis 3    Tagekrankund scheidet4'l"o Zucker aus.   Nachdem er   sich wieder erholt hat, erhält   er subkutan den Saft von drei Hammers-   nehennieren   und nachdem er sich dann wieder erholt, in derselben Weise weiter all-
