 <Desc/Clms Page number 2>

 <Desc / Clms Page number 2>

 four contact sockets 12 for inserting the lead wires by means of screws 18. The sockets 12 are used to attach four contact springs 5, which rest against the side coverings 11 of the switching disk 2 rotatable with the axis 3. The switching disk 2 has a square 22 below,
 EMI2.1
 In the middle part of the switching disk 2, four contact balls 11, offset from one another by 900, are two permanently conductively connected by a metal strip 19. The three independent contact strips have flanges on the side, which are flat in the embodiment according to FIGS. 1-7.

   A pivotable conductive arm 23 is arranged on one of these flanges in such a way that it can be brought into fixed conductive connection with one of the two adjacent flanges by pivoting. This is done in the illustrated embodiment by screws 8. Instead, the pivot point of the arm 23 can be formed by a non-releasable articulated connection and the free end can be provided with a resilient projection or pin that rests against the flange of the metal coating 11 or with friction engages in a hole of the same.

   In the embodiment according to FIGS. 8 and 9, the four metal coverings 25 are attached to the side of the switching disk and provided with forks 26, 29, 30 and 31, two of which, 30 and 31, are permanently connected by a metal strip 32, while the others can be connected by inserting a bent metal strip 27 from above, similar to what is known with knife switches or with fuse inserts for plug-in contacts. For this purpose, the insert strip 27 is provided with a handle 28, which can consist of a bent-over cloth or also of attached insulating material. The forks can consist of resilient sheet metal, so that the strip 27 is held in place by the resilient friction and good contact is ensured.

   The upper part of the switching drum 2 is tapered and this tapered part can be significantly shorter in the embodiment according to FIGS the shoulder of the switching disk 2 lies.

   In the tapered part of the switching drum 2 there is arranged an enlarged bore 21 in which a spiral spring 7 is located, one end of which is on the axis. 3 is attached, while the other end rests against a tooth 20, which closes the lowest point of an ascending path of the end face of the switching drum. This spring is used to accumulate force for the momentary switching and the rising path on the front surface of the switching drum enables a reverse rotation while the switch is idle.

   As can be seen from FIGS. 10-14, the various common installation switching types are possible with this switch. If a third is conductively connected to the two permanently connected metal coverings through the adjustable connection, the circuit according to FIG. 4 is obtained, with three contacts being connected to one, and the following types of switching: chandelier, group and off switches
