Set up on cash registers and account books.

The invention relates to a device on accounts and cash books for avoiding the transfer of the column totals of a cleared page to the following page. Uni to make the transfer easier, it was already known to alternately arrange the individual book pages offset from one another by one line height or to provide cutouts offset from one another. However, these embodiments had disadvantages which prevented their introduction into practice. The heads and feet of the leaves were, because they are offset from one another, hollow and pushed through when the offset edges were used. Furthermore, the entries of the column totals changed constantly and were once on the top line and then again on the bottom line, which was also felt to be very disadvantageous in the case of the Aufreclmung.

The fact that these mentioned embodiments did not meet with the approval of the user,
 EMI1.1

Carries fold lines that allow a shortening of the foot of the sheet to make it visible and to use the bottom line of the book sheet below.

With this device, it is possible, by double folding and turning over the upper or lower end of the sheet, to free the line for entering the column sums on the following page on the right or the line of the previous sheet with the added column sums on the left for addition.

The invention is shown in the drawing, FIG. 1 shows a diagram of an account book with folds arranged at the top, FIG. 2 shows one with folds arranged at the bottom, in FIGS. 3 and 4 a view and a cross section of a slide for the Use of the

previous, on the right book page 10 the next following book page under the Reehuungs- pages. When folding head 1 or foot 2 of the left sheet, line 11 or 11t of the previous page with its added column totals becomes free and visible and the previous column total is added up with the entries in the current column and entered in the free column 12 or 2t of the upper book page.

On the right side of the book, the fold of the head 1 or the foot. of the top sheet free line 1 Y or 131 of the following right book page, while the corresponding line 14 or 14

previous pages, which are added to the entries in the columns of the top sheet in line 13 or 18 'of the following sheet page.

Line 12 or 12 'of the left book page therefore contains the column sums of the entries including that of the top sheet page and line 13 or 13' of the right book page contains the column sums of the entries

fusse corresponds to the habit of accountants who write their share totals under the line. However, the loose foot could be damaged by the hand of the clerk.

For this reason it is also suggested. to relocate the folding strips and total column lines in the head of the book sheets, whereby paper can also be saved, since the folding strips 7 and 8, which overlap during folding, can be provided with the top print and column designations without prejudice to the clarity, which is indicated by the hatching 14 . In order to hold on to the unfolded head or foot when setting off, it is expedient to cover the sheet ends with a slide 15. This engages with tongues 16 under a number of sheets of the book and is guided by knockouts 17 on the upper or lower edge of the book and can thus be shifted evenly over the entire book page. The gap to be offset is kept free by the incision 19.

Above or below there is a cutout 20. which serves as a writing opening on the left side of the book for entering the column totals and on the right side as a viewing opening for the transfer amount. A second cutout 21 above or below it serves in reverse as a viewing opening on the left side of the book and as a writing opening on the right side of the book. Between the incision 19 and the cutouts 20 and 21 are the webs 2, 2 of the plate 15, which press on the folded edges 5 and 6 or 5 'and 6' of the folded end of the sheet.

To the right and left of the incision 19 and the cutouts; d0 and 21 is the plate 15

the hand and conveniently provided with a bent-up edge 24 as a handle when moving.
