Verfahren zur Herstellung von echten, buntgeätzten Küpenfarbstoffärbungen.
Man hat seit langem Küpenfarbstoffe als Buntätzen auf Färbungen, die mit Azofarben hergestellt sind, verwendet. Bei diesen Artikeln ist aber selbstverständlich der gefärbte Boden wesentlich unechter als die dazu verwendeten Buntätzen, und ausserdem haben Küpenfarbstoffe in diesem Artikel die Eigenschaft, sehr leicht Aureolen zu bilden. Küpenfarbstoffe werden auch auf Indigo als Buntätzen verwendet.
Auch in diesem Falle ist der gefärbte Boden nicht so echt, als die darauf gedruckten Buntätzen.
Es ist nun gefunden worden, dass man einen in der Echtheit unübertroffenen Ätzartikel herstellen kann, wenn man Färbungen mit solchen Küpenfarbstoffen herstellt, die durch Reduktionsmittel, wie z. B. Formaldehydsulfoxylate unter Zusatz von Leukotrop W konz. zerstört werden und als Buntätzen Küpenfarbstoffe verwendet, die diesen Ätzmitteln genügend widerstehen. Es ist dabei wesentlich, nur so viel Formaldehydsulfoxylate unter Zusatz von Leukotrop W konz. zu verwenden als notwendig ist,

For a long time vat dyes have been used as colored etching on dyeings made with azo inks. With these articles, however, the colored base is of course much less authentic than the colored etchings used for this purpose, and in addition, vat dyes in this article have the property of forming aureoles very easily. Vat dyes are also used as colored etching on indigo.
