  Wegweiser.

  Signpost.

The invention relates to a signpost with easily exchangeable arms which are inserted into vertical slots open at the top of a tubular column and are held in place by a cap that can be screwed onto the latter.

For fastening the signpost arms, the invention provides a new type of closing body to be placed on the tubular body, which, despite a large number of bedding slots, provides a sufficiently strong, resistant bearing for the signpost arms. This special closure body also makes it possible to use very thin-walled signpost pillars, as these are not weakened by the bedding slots for the signpost arms.

The subject of the invention is shown in the drawing. 1 shows the signpost in a view, FIG. 2 shows the signpost head on a larger scale. partly in middle section, partly in elevation, FIG. 3 a corresponding top view with the cover half cut away, FIG. 4 the attachment of a special sign in connection with the signpost.

The signpost consists of the column tube a and the pointing arms b, which are designed as independent bodies. The head of the column is characterized by a special body c

The arms b are expediently made of strong sheet iron. The sheet thickness is equal to the width of the slots g. Where the arms are on the column. a rectangular strip is cut out of the sheet metal so that a protruding cheek remains. The cheek is down with a right

Distances from the outer edge in of the arm b, which corresponds to the wall thickness of the collar e, two oppositely angled flaps n, which lie on the inner surface of the collar. The top of arms b cuts flush with the top of body c.

The connection of the arms b with the column a is done with the cap h lifted simply by pushing the associated cheek k from above into a slot g. If all the arms are inserted into the slots in which they best point the direction, the cover h is screwed tight with the screw i and all arms are then rigidly and permanently connected to the column. The exchange takes place in reverse order.

It can be seen that there can be as many slots and attachment options as there are practically possible crossings of paths. It also becomes clear, however, that because of the many slits g that are close to one another, no consideration needs to be given to the position of individual ones when the column a is set up.

A special shield p or the like can be placed on the head c by means of the screw i, which has the name of the village in which the signpost is located in the middle field; but that can also be used for advertising (Fig. 4).
