Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

  A tube for rinsing purposes that is used to insert into body cavities.

   The tubes used for insertion into body cavities, in particular for rinsing and drainage purposes, often have the disadvantage that they can easily slide out again when the organism presses them and therefore either have to be held by hand or fixed by cumbersome bandages or constantly monitored. This is particularly the case with intestinal and facial douching.

   Devices have become known with the help of which the tubes can be fixed in the body cavity. But these are usually very complicated. These deficiencies are eliminated by the present invention.

   According to the invention, on the tube which is bent at an obtuse angle upward in the insertion direction and which is held by means of eyelets and straps on a waist belt, a downwardly bent, advantageously resilient bracket provided with an eyelet for attachment to a belt is arranged approximately in its center.

   The patient is given a belt around the body, on the front part of which two straps are attached, the free ends of which are attached to two eyelets arranged on the front part of the tube. A third band is attached to the back of the belt, the free end of which is attached to the eyelet on the resilient bracket.

   In this way, the tube can be fixed in the body cavity in such a way that it does not slide out.

   Fig. 1 shows as an example a tube to be inserted into the intestine, u. between a is the tube bent in about the last third, at the front end of which the two eyelets b and bl are attached. c is the resilient bracket that carries the eyelet b2 and is attached approximately in the middle of the tube. Fig. 2 illustrates the use of the subject invention in colonic irrigation.

   The bent end of the tube a is inserted into the intestine, while the other, upwardly directed tube end is connected to the irrigation line. The resilient bracket c lies outside the intestine between the thighs of the patient. The two straps d and dl extend from the front part of the belt cl placed around the patient's body and are attached with their free ends to the eyelets b and bl.

   The band d2 leads from the rear part of the belt to the eyelet located on the bracket c.
