Letter folder with curved alignment pins.
The invention relates to a letter folder with curved alignment pins, which slide against each other or in tubes in so-called two-hole files or between which there is a space as in the so-called four-hole files. In the case of the known folders of this type, the establishment is met. that the aligning pins or the aligning devices or aligners have a common axis of rotation for both, starting from a common center of curvature @, both circular

to be able to move apart. The known designs of this type are cumbersome to use and expensive to manufacture.
The invention consists in that on a rigid base plate or back plate, u. between

Eyes 7 are provided on the outer sides of the plates or webs, into which the bent ends 8 of rods 9 engage, the other ends 10 of which are articulated to the arms of a double-armed lever 11, which is rotatable or pivotable at a bead or at 12 a press-out 13 of the back plate is mounted. are attached to the bent parts 20 of the bracket 16 and which constantly strives to close the bracket.
In Fig. 5, a slightly different embodiment of the lock for the double-armed lever 11 is shown. In this embodiment, the double-armed lever 11 contains a nose 21 at the end of the one lever arm which strikes against a stop 22 of a resilient bracket 23 which is fastened at the corresponding point on the back plate 2. In order to be able to open the mail folder mechanism, pressure is exerted from above on the resilient bracket 23 at the points corresponding to the arrow shown. As a result, this end of the bracket 23 lowers and the stop 22 rises so that the double-armed lever with the nose 21 can slide past.
The mode of operation of the device is briefly as follows:
The folder 1 according to FIG. 1 is taken out of its shelf and the covers are opened according to FIG. The brackets 16 are then automatically folded down against the tension of the spring when the papers are turned over. The brackets 16 are designed so that the spring engages eccentrically to the bearing points of the bracket, so that it tries to close when the point of application of the spring on the bracket is above the pivot points of the bracket when the points of application of the spring are below to keep the temples in the open position. In the same way, the aligning pins are bent apart by means of the plates or webs 6 by the weight of the papers, possibly supported by pressure from the hand.
As a result of the compulsory connection 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 between these plates 6, each position of the one plate corresponds exactly to the same opposite position of the other plate. First of all, the plates are bent apart so far that the eye 5 strikes the double-armed lever 11 at the right end of the slot. The filing mechanism has now been moved so far apart that it is easy to leaf through the classified papers without them falling out unintentionally.
If you want to classify the papers, the plates 6 are opened further with the application of force, the eye 5 sliding over the right stop of the slot 14 and now allowing the stringing needles to spread completely apart. The folder is closed by simply folding it shut, with the folder cover not only returning the bracket M, but at the same time also the stringers 5 etc. into the starting position according to FIG.
