  Fertilizer spreader.

Fertilizer streumasehinen, in which the fertilizer is discharged by an endless, flexible conveying element that moves in the scattering slot and in its longitudinal direction, have become known in various designs. The subject matter of the invention differs from this known known feature in that the conveyor element consists of an endless steel belt in which openings or sawtooth-like edge recesses are provided which act as drivers. This design enables the use of very narrow spreading slots, through which the uniformity of the spreading is made possible even for very small amounts of fertilizer.

In the drawing, Fig. 1 illustrates a cross section through the storage container with the endless belt at its bottom, Figs. 2 and 3 are plan views of a part of the belt in two different
 EMI1.1
shows modified arrangement of the endless belt, and Fig. 5 shows a plan view of the belt.

The storage container a is arranged in a known manner between the running wheels of the machine.

The endless belt, expediently, made of steel, is arranged in the longitudinal direction and at the bottom of the container so that its lower part lies outside the latter, while its upper part is stored inside on the bottom c of the container a, u. zw. So that an edge protrudes through the litter slot d at the bottom of the container, this slot being controllable in a known manner by an outer slide m. The endless belt is mechanically driven by one of the running wheels of the machine in a suitable known manner and therefore not shown.

The endless belt b can either be designed like a saw blade at its edge e extending through the scattering slot d (FIG. 2) or provided with parallel oblique transverse slots i over its entire length (FIG. 3), which increases the effect of the endless belt considerably becomes.

As shown in Fig. 4 and 5, the endless belt b can also be stored laterally outside the container a and provided along its entire length on one edge with finger-like inclined projections g, which on the upper part of the belt through the reservoir above its bottom reach through the litter slot d, the tape running over guide rollers h. In this case, the band could also run vertically or in another direction instead of horizontally. In order to prevent the belt from slipping, it can be provided with grooves i on one or both edges which grip the guide rollers h via cams k. The tape b can be moved laterally by a known lever control n in order to let the fingers g reach more or less deeply through the litter slot d.

Instead of the shown horizontal position of the band b, or the fingers g, parallel to the bottom c of the container, the band or the fingers can also run at any suitable angle of inclination.
