Besonders eignen sich für diesen Zweck das Oxymethylformamid und das Oxymethylazetamid, da diese Körper bei steigender Temperatur auch in erhöhtem Masse Formaldehyd abspalten, welche Eigenschaft von besonderem Werte ist. Die Oxymethylamide haben ausserdem noch den grossen Vorteil, dass sie im ersten Stadium plastizierend wirken und daher auch in Verbindung mit rascher wirkenden Härtungsmitteln verwendet werden können, deren zu rasches Angreifen durch ihre anfängliche Plasti- zierungswirkung verhindert wird.
