Description

  Process for making dressings.

The known method of mechanical chalk relief finishing is essentially based on the fact that a base made of paper or the like and made of paper or the like, provided with chalk on both sides, is printed on both sides and etched on both sides. The production of such double-sided coated films is difficult and therefore expensive. In addition, the same is not easy to use because the image has to be printed on both sides of the film and the film becomes unusable if the two prints do not exactly match one another.

It has already been proposed to provide the film on one side only with chalk or clay, which would not only avoid the disadvantages just mentioned, but would also produce a weaker finish, which is particularly useful for more powerfully built cylinder rotation or crucible
 EMI1.1
 penetrates, attacks and destroys it.

The aim of the present invention is to remedy this disadvantage.

This essentially consists in the fact that in the case of such foils covered on one side with fine chalk or clay, the back is protected against the effect of the solution or etching liquid by impregnation or a protective coat. This can for example consist of a hardening agent such as formaldehyde, an inorganic hardening salt or the like with animal glue or casein as a binder.

This treatment of the back of the film also prevents the film from rolling; In addition, it excludes any passport difference between the latter.
