Verfahren zur Herstellung von Schädlingsbekämpfungsmitteln.
Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf Schädlingsbekämpfungsmittel, insbesondere solche, welche aus arsenhaltigen Stoffen, wie z. B. Uraniagrün und Metallsalzen, wie z. B. Kupfersalzen, bestehen. Bei der Herstellung von Spritzbrühen aus, z. B. Kupfersalzen und staubförmigen arsenhaltigen Stoffen, wirkt die durch die arsenhaltigen Stoffe erzeugte Staubentwicklung häufig lästig. Man hat daher den Ver- brauchen (Winzern, Obstzüchtern u. dgl. ) fertige Präparate, welche die Bestandteile in Form kompakter Mischungen enthalten, dargeboten. Diese kompakten Gemische bieten aber wieder den Nachteil, dass sie nicht leicht dosierbar sind-und sich verhältnismässig schlecht auflösen.

In Ausübung der Erfindung kann man z. B. derart verfahren, dass die miteinander zu vereinigenden Bestandteile des Schädlingsbekämpfungsmittels unter Mitwirkung geeigneter Bindemittel einerseits und von gasentwickelnden Stoffen anderseits in die gewünschte Form übergeführt werden. Dies kann z. B. so geschehen, dass die zu vereinigenden Ausgangsstoffe unter Zusatz des Bindemittels, z. B. Kartoffelstärke und einer genügenden Menge Flüssigkeit, innig gemischt werden und der Masse ausserdem der gasliefernde Stoff, z. B. in Form von Natriumbikarbonat, einverleibt wird, worauf sie nach einiger Behandlungsdauer zur Trockne gebracht werden kann.
Das Bindemittel bewirkt im vorliegenden Falle nicht nur eine Erhöhung der Haftfestigkeit der aus dem Präparat herzustellenden Spritzbrühe, sondern es erfüllt auch den wichtigen Zweck, dass es unter der auflockernden Wirkung der beim Erwärmen in Freiheit gesetzten Kohlensäure der ganzen Masse ein schwammiges Gefüge erteilt, welches dann auch nach Trocknen der Masse bzw. nach Überführen derselben in geformten Zustand erhalten bleibt.
Es ist zwar bereits bekannt, zwecks Erhöhung des Haftvermögens der die Schädlingsbekämpfungs- mittel enthaltenden Brühen Klebemittel zuzusetzen. Weiterhin ist bekannt, pulverförmige Schädlings- bekämpfungsmittel, z. B. Kupfersulfat, mit Soda vermischt, unter Erhaltung der Pulverform mässig zu erwärmen, wobei basisches Kupferkarbonat unter Entwicklung von Kohlensäure gebildet wird.
Demgegenüber bezweckt und erreicht die vorliegende Erfindung durch gemeinschaftliche Anwendung von Bindemitteln und gasentwickelnden Stoffen die Herstellung von Massen oder Körpern, welche einen festen Zusammenhalt haben und infolgedessen lästige Staubbildung vermeiden, während sie anderseits porös und leicht löslich in Wasser oder andern Lösungsmitteln sind.
Beispiel : 82 Teile Kupfersulfat und 10 Teile Uraniagrün werden in feingemahlenem Zustande in einer Mischtrommel innig gemischt. Hiezu wird ein aus 7 Teilen Kartoffelstärke hergestellter Brei gegeben und der Mischvorgang fortgeführt. Nach einer halben Stunde'wird 1 Teil Natriumbikarbonat zugesetzt und die Masse nochmals gründlich gemischt und geknetet. Die fertige Masse kann z. B. al f

The invention relates to pesticides, especially those which are made from arsenic-containing substances such. B. Urania green and metal salts, such as. B. copper salts exist. In the production of spray mixtures from, for. B. copper salts and powdery arsenic-containing substances, the dust generated by the arsenic-containing substances is often annoying. The consumers (winegrowers, fruit growers and the like) have therefore been offered finished preparations which contain the components in the form of compact mixtures. However, these compact mixtures again have the disadvantage that they cannot be easily metered and that they dissolve relatively poorly.

In exercising the invention you can, for. B. proceed in such a way that the constituents of the pesticide to be combined are converted into the desired form with the help of suitable binders on the one hand and gas-generating substances on the other. This can e.g. B. done so that the starting materials to be combined with the addition of the binder, z. B. potato starch and a sufficient amount of liquid, are intimately mixed and the mass also the gas-supplying substance, z. B. in the form of sodium bicarbonate, whereupon it can be brought to dryness after some treatment time.
In the present case, the binder not only increases the adhesive strength of the spray liquor to be produced from the preparation, but also fulfills the important purpose of giving the whole mass a spongy structure under the loosening effect of the carbonic acid released during heating, which then is retained even after the mass has dried or after it has been converted into the shaped state.
It is already known to add adhesives to the broths containing the pesticides in order to increase the adhesion. It is also known to use powdered pesticides, e.g. B. copper sulphate, mixed with soda, to be heated moderately while maintaining the powder form, whereby basic copper carbonate is formed with the development of carbonic acid.
In contrast, the present invention aims and achieves the production of masses or bodies, which have a firm cohesion and consequently avoid annoying dust formation, while on the other hand they are porous and easily soluble in water or other solvents by the joint use of binders and gas-evolving substances.
Example: 82 parts of copper sulphate and 10 parts of uranium green are intimately mixed in a finely ground state in a mixing drum. For this purpose, a paste made from 7 parts of potato starch is added and the mixing process is continued.
