Description

Device for identifying the fall spaces of a freely falling body in successive equal time periods.
The invention relates to a device for identifying the fall spaces of a free-falling body in successive equal time segments by means of points on a paper strip.
In the drawing, FIG. 1 shows the device in a front view, FIG. 2 in a side view, and FIG. 3 in a plan view.
A base plate 1, which can be fastened to the edge of a table by means of a clamp 2, carries the vertical guide channel 3 used to hold a paper strip 6. The base plate is also in a housing. ? A Neefseher hammer, a clockwork or the like. Arranged, which device sets the hammer 4 in uniform vibrations perpendicular to the paper strip, so that it moves about 20-30 times per second in the rest state at the upper end of the guide by a clamp od The like. Paper strips 6 held down and weighted at the lower end with a falling weight 7 touched. A copy paper or a ribbon is inserted between the paper strip and the guide.
The hammer 4 is set in motion, then the strip is released and the weight 7 together with the strip 6 is thereby left to free fall. The hammer strikes the strip at equal intervals, and after the fall, points appear on the strip of paper at distances which correspond to the laws of free fall.
