  Vorrichtung zur Untersuchung von Gasen   mittels elektrisch geheizter Nessdrähte   unter Benützung der Änderung der Wärmeleitfähigkeit mit der   Zusammensetzung.   



   Bei den bekannten Vorrichtungen der den Gegenstand der Erfindung bildenden Art sind die in Kanälen eines MetalIblocks liegenden, von dem elektrischen Heizstrom durchflossenen Messdrähte oder Messdrahtschrauben entweder unmittelbar den jene Kanäle   durchströmenden   Gasen ausgesetzt oder sie sind gegen die Gase durch Rohre aus Metall oder Glimmer geschützt, welche sie in geringem Abstande umgeben. Demgegenüber sind gemäss der Erfindung die aus Platin bestehenden Messdrähte dicht an die Innenseite von an einem Ende geschlossenen Quarzrohren   schraubenförmig   gewickelt, deren offene Enden ebenso wie die Enden der Messdrähte in das Gehäuse der Messkammer eingekittet werden.

   Durch den Einbau solcher Messdrähte in die von dem   Prüf- und Vergleichsgas durchströmten   Kanäle des Metallblocks ist infolge der Quarzhülle eine gute   Wärmeübertragung   vom Messdraht nach dem Gaskanal gewährleistet, der Messdraht gegen chemische Wirkungen der Gase gesichert und für die   unveränderliche   Lage des Messdrahtes innerhalb des Gaskanals auch bei starken Erschütterungen des Prüfapparates gesorgt, was bei den bekannten Gasprüfern mit in   Metall- oder Glimmerrohren schwebend   befestigten   Messdrähten nicht   der Fall ist. Werden zwecks Reinigung der Gaskanäle die in ein Quarzrohr eingebetteten Messdrähte aus dem Gaskanal entfernt, so ist deren Einsetzung in die vorher von ihnen innegehabte Lage gewährleistet. 



   Eine Ausführungsform der Vorrichtung gemäss der Erfindung ist auf der Zeichnung dargestellt. 



   In dem Metallblock   8   sind nebeneinander zwei   Messkammern   12 vorgesehen, eine für das Prüfgas und eine für das Vergleichsgas. Auf der Zeichnung ist eine dieser   Messkammern   im Schnitt dargestellt.

   In the known devices of the type forming the subject of the invention, the measuring wires or measuring wire screws through which the electrical heating current flows, lying in the channels of a metal block, are either directly exposed to the gases flowing through those channels or they are protected against the gases by tubes made of metal or mica, which surround them at a short distance. In contrast, according to the invention, the measuring wires made of platinum are helically wound tightly against the inside of quartz tubes closed at one end, the open ends of which, like the ends of the measuring wires, are cemented into the housing of the measuring chamber.

   By installing such measuring wires in the channels of the metal block through which the test and reference gas flows, good heat transfer from the measuring wire to the gas channel is guaranteed due to the quartz shell, the measuring wire is secured against chemical effects of the gases and also for the unchangeable position of the measuring wire within the gas channel taken care of in the event of strong vibrations of the test apparatus, which is not the case with the known gas detectors with measuring wires suspended in metal or mica tubes. If the measuring wires, which are embedded in a quartz tube, are removed from the gas duct for the purpose of cleaning the gas ducts, their insertion into the position they previously occupied is guaranteed.



   An embodiment of the device according to the invention is shown in the drawing.



   Two measuring chambers 12 are provided next to one another in the metal block 8, one for the test gas and one for the reference gas. One of these measuring chambers is shown in section on the drawing.

PATENT-ANSPRUCH : Vorrichtung zur Untersuchung von Gasen mittels elektrisch geheizter Messdrähte unter Benützung der Änderung der Wärmeleitfähigkeit mit der Zusammensetzung, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die aus Platin bestehenden Messdrähte dicht an die Innenseite von an einem Ende geschlossenen Quarzrohren schraubenförmig gewickelt sind, deren offene Enden ebenso wie die Enden der Messdrähte in das Gehäuse der Messkammer eingekittet werden.
