  Sensenblatt.

  Scythe leaf.

As is well known, the scythe leaves must be thinned before they can be used. However, since they are about 0-7-1 mm thick in cross-section, it takes quite a lot of time until the scythe leaf is cut out.

The present invention now shortens the lengthy peening by providing the scythe blade on the inner surface, namely along the cutting edge, with a 12-15 mm wide hollow grind, which corresponds to the thickness of the blade at d; e point reduced to about 0'3-0'4 mm.

So that the sheet is not weakened so much at the tip, the width of the hollow ship is reduced towards the tip of the blade. The hollow grind, which is also peened, has a great long-lasting cutting ability, and with normal use a single hollow grind is sufficient for the entire period of use in summer.

The drawing shows such a scythe blade in cross section (enlarged) in FIG. 1 and in a view in FIG. 2, where a denotes the blade and b denotes the hollow section.
