Verfahren zur Herstellung von radioaktiven Schuheinlagsohlen.
Gegenstand der Erfindung bildet eine ein radioaktives Agens enthaltende schmiegsame Platte als Schuheinlegesohle. Solche Einlegesohlen bieten besondere Vorteile für Personen, die an Rheumatismus u. dgl. Erkrankungen leiden, die durch Radiumemanation günstig beeinflusst und auch geheilt werden können und auch ein Mittel, um auf die Haut einzuwirken.
Zur Herstellung solcher als Sohlen verwendbarer Platten wird gemäss der Erfindung das radio- aktive Agens unter Verwendung biegsamer und schmiegsamer plastischer Massen in die Form einer biegsamen Platte gebracht, u. zw. in der Weise, dass das Radiumpräparat in einer der geforderten therapeutischen Wirkung entsprechenden Menge in solche plastische Stoffe wie Kautschuk, Kautschuk- ersatzmittel od. dgl. eingemischt wird, wobei auch Zusätze gemacht werden können, welche die mechanischen Eigenschaften des Endproduktes in der wünschenswerten Weise beeinflussen, wie Weichmachungsmittel einerseits, Verfestigungsmittel anderseits, jedoch unter Ausschluss solcher Stoffe, welche die wirksamen Radiumstrahlen absorbieren.
Für die Herstellung von Platten, z. B. aus einer radiumhältigen Gummimischung wird Rohgummi mit oder ohne Zusatz von Balata mit dem Radiumpräparat und ausserdem mit anderen Zusätzen, wie Faserstoffen, feinpulverigen Mineralstoffen zur Verfestigung oder Plastizierungsmitteln, wie Öle, Wachse usw. in bekannter Weise auf einem Mischwalzwerk gut gemischt und auf dem Kalander zu Platten ausgezogen oder trocken am Kalander oder nach erfolgter Lösung in einem Kautschuklösungsmittel auf der Streichmaschine auf Gewebebahnen aufgetragen.
Die radiumhältige Kautschukplatte kann gegebenenfalls nach einem der bekannten Verfahren vulkanisiert werden, wobei für eine Heissvulkanisation Schwefel und eventuell Vulkanisationsbesehleuniger zur Kautschukmischung zugesetzt werden.
