1 of the drawing shows the safety pin in a front view and FIGS. 2 and 3 show the safety pin in a side view from the left and from the right. a is the pin, which is connected in a hinge-like manner to the bracket b by means of the bolt or rivet c. At the end opposite the hinge, the pin a has a rectangular opening through which the free end of the bracket b can be inserted. At the end of the bracket b, a crosspiece d is rotatably arranged by means of the bolt or rivet e.
The security pin is used in such a way that the pin a is inserted through the axis, then the bracket b is closed by inserting the end opposite the hinge with the cross piece d through the opening provided at the lower end of the pin a, and finally the crosspiece d is rotated by 900.
The safety pin is used in all types of cars, especially where a wheel z. B. to be quickly dismantled and reassembled for lubrication. The handling does not require any operating tools and is extremely simple. Production is also simple and cheap. Accidental loosening of the safety pin due to excessive wear and tear or use is not possible, so that there is not the slightest risk that the wagon wheel can run off.
