Verschluss (Crampon).

Closure (crampon).
The invention relates to a closure, called a crampon, which consists of a disc provided with long tips or clamp tabs and a channel-shaped counter ring, the inner edge of which
EMI1.1
When the seal is closed, the tips of the disc roll in and are joined by the disc and counter ring.
With this type of closure it often happens that the tips, when they get to the apex of the channel curve, begin to curl at a small angle and then form such a small rolling circle that it no longer reaches sufficiently under the upper part of the counter ring and therefore cannot be held by the latter, with the result that both parts of the closure can be separated from one another, since the curled tips can be lifted past the edge.
This disadvantage, which lies in the formation of the tips of the disc and the groove of the counter ring, is eliminated according to the invention in that the part of the groove of the counter ring reaching from the apex of the rounding to the upward bend of the inner edge is flattened and the inner edge itself is flattened is bent at a right angle, so that the tips are initially slightly bent and without being rolled in this state along the flat part of the counter ring to the vertical edge and then rolled along this upright part, i.e. immediately before it is bent.
According to the invention, this effect is further supported by the fact that the tips are not designed as pointed isosceles, as before, but as right-angled triangles with truncated tips or as right-angled trapezoids, which prevents the sharp tips from being pressed against the wall of the counter-ring be bent at a small angle, i.e. the curling takes place under a small diameter, which means that the channel curvature is initially bent accordingly and the premature curling is opposed to a greater resistance.
Finally, the connection is secured in that the outer edge of the upper part of the counter ring is bent downwards.
