Safety plate for safety razors.
The invention relates to a protective plate for safety razors of known type. The invention consists in that the side of the toothless protective plate facing away from the knife blade contains a recess which extends as far as the holes made near the edge of the protective plate.
Such depressions are known in protective plates that have teeth. On the other hand, protective plates are known that have holes near the edge instead of teeth. By uniting the holes with the recess, a safety razor is created which, as a result of the smooth edge of the protective plate and the rapid removal of the soap foam achieved through the depressions, shaves much more delicately and softer than a safety razor with only holes and than a safety razor with teeth in which the depression opens out into the open.
Fig. 1 shows the protective plate seen from above, Fig. 2 in cross section.
The protective plate 1 has holes 3 that are close to the edge. In addition, the protective plate also has a recess 4, which does not extend to the edge of the protective plate, but does end partially in the holes.
