Fpuchtigkeitsregler für Papier-od. dgl. Bidutpn.
Troekenmittel in seiner Wirkung verstärkt, z.
Fig. 4 zeigt eine Einzelheit.

Humidity regulator for paper or like. Bidutpn.
The subject of the invention is a further embodiment of the device for controlling the moisture level of paper webs od. The like. According to patent no. 120248. According to this patent, the web to be dried (paper web or the like) is during the passage through the drying device with a The free-running part is guided over a movable roller in such a way that changes in length of the web (e.g.
I a shortening, caused by shrinkage of the paper) cause a movement of the roller with which the desiccant acts, e.g. B. the desiccant is more or less throttled and the effect of the desiccant is regulated.
In this device, to the extent that the web to be dried is shortened under the influence of dry heat, so z. B. the paper web shrinks, the desiccant (e.g. steam) is more or less throttled or completely shut off, on the other hand, when the web is more humid, i.e. longer, that
Drying agent intensified in its effect, z. B. when using steam as a desiccant
Steam valve more open.
With this method of operation, a tearing of the web has the same effect as an elongation of the web, i. H. an increase in the drying effect.
This excessive drying effect was remedied according to the parent patent no. 120248 by breaking the connection between the power source and the control element when the web tore, so that the control element for the heat supply was automatically closed.
According to the invention, the device is made such that the sensing element following the movements of the web actuates two regulating devices for the heating medium (steam, electric current or the like) that are effective at different times, and the like. between one by the changes in length of the web during normal running of the web and the other by tearing of the web.
The device is expediently designed in such a way that the two control devices act in opposite directions, i. H. one in the interruption direction for the heating medium, the other in the sense of increasing the heating effect.
The device can be designed in such a way that both regulating devices act on a common regulating organ of the heat medium line.
In the drawing, an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is illustrated schematically, in which steam is used as the heating medium and a regulating element built into the steam line and controlled by means of a pressure fluid is actuated by two auxiliary devices.
The overall arrangement is shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 and the device is shown schematically in FIGS. 3 and 3a.
Fig. 4 shows a detail.
The paper web fed to the drying cylinders 2, 2 with the felt 1. 3 is guided between the drying cylinders with a free-running part over a sensing element 4 (for example a roller) in such a way that the paper web is pushed away from the tangential running direction by the sensing element 4. The sensing element 4 is mounted on levers 6 which sit on a shaft 5 mounted in the machine frame, so that a movement of the sensing element is converted by the lever 6 into a rotary movement of the shaft 5. Cam disks 7, 71 are placed on the shaft J, which are offset from one another by a corresponding angle, so that the cam disks can only come into effect at different times when the shaft 5 is rotated.
A lever 8 or 81 interacts with each cam disk, the axes of rotation of which in the machine

which is built into the heating medium line 12 (e.g. steam line).
When the paper web shrinks, i.e. shortens, the sensing element is moved upwards and this movement is converted into a rotary movement of the shaft 5, whereby the one cam 7 'acts on the valve 9 assigned to it, which through its throttling or closing movement the pressure in the liquid line n leading to the valve-M changes and thereby a throttle movement d. Xs valve 10 causes.
If the paper web expands, the sensing element 4 acts in the opposite direction, i.e. H. the pressure in the pressure medium line 11 is changed so that the valve 10 is moved into the open position.
A fluid circuit is maintained in the pressure medium line 11 by the valves 9 or 9 ′, so that these valves are more or less open, depending on whether they are. more or less liquid is diverted through the drain line 13 and the pressure in the control line 11 is thereby regulated.
In the exemplary embodiment of the drawing, the pressurized water enters the line 14 leading via a filter to the valve 70, to which it is fed with the intermediation of appropriate intermediate members (piston.
EMI2.2
the pressure in the lines is influenced as a function of the moisture content of the web.
If the paper web tears (Fig. 3a), as a result of which the sensing element loses its support, it is twisted by the action of the weight 15. As a result of this rotary movement communicated to the shaft 5, the Noek disk 71 comes into effect, which thus influences the lever 81 interacting with it. that the valve 91 is moved into a position that causes the valve 10 to close. The valve 91 thus acts in the opposite direction to the valve 9 when the shaft rotates in one direction of rotation.
Of course, instead of steam heating, use can be made of electrical heating, the control valves 9 and 91 being able to serve to actuate contacts for an electrical resistance and thus to regulate the flow of heat.
The cams 7 and 71 are loosely arranged on the shaft and are z. B. determined by means of nut 76 (Fig. 4). This makes it possible to set the cams differently and thereby make the device applicable to differently constituted tracks or tracks of different materials.
