  Elektrischer Druckluftschalter.

  Electric compressed air switch.

In order to interrupt high power, the double interruption is also advantageously used with air pressure switches. With the well-known air pressure switches with double break
 EMI1.1
be blown throughout the interruption period.

The invention relates to a pressure gas switch with double break, in which the fixed
Contact piece have the known form of blower nozzles and are kept closed by the movable contact piece. According to the invention, such a pressurized gas switch is equipped with two nozzle-shaped interruption points, which are connected by a stationary conductive switching bridge and are arranged in a common blow pipe.

This arrangement ensures that a single arc is formed on the initial two individual interruption arcs, extending from the first to the second interruption and blow point, which is blown concentrically over most of its length. In particular, with this arrangement there are no arc root points that can escape the blowing, and there is also no point of the arc where the effectiveness of the blowing is too small. On the other hand, the arc is displaced to the axis of the blowing flow, which is a consequence of the electrodynamic
Interactions between the rising and falling branches of the arc are prevented.

In the figure is an embodiment of the invention, u. between the use of underlay points located in blow nozzles.

The switch consists of the two insulating tubes. 10 and 11, to which a common
Blow chimney 12 attaches. The nozzles 15, 14 are fastened at the top in the insulating tubes. The power supply is at 15, the power is discharged at 16. 17, 18 are the movable switch pins that are located in the tubes 10,
11 move. They are connected to one another by an insulating piece 19 and are moved by a switching rod 20. 21 is a compressed air tank, 22 the pipe through which the compressed air flows to the tank 21.

The air nozzles have parallel axes and are close to each other and the flow that flows through the
 EMI1.2
interrupted twice by the two in-line interruption points at the nozzles. This arrangement has the following effect:
If the switch rod is moved downwards, two arcs form at the nozzles 13 and 14, which pass from the switch pins 17 and 18 to the nozzles j and 14 and are blown quickly upwards by the compressed air jet. As soon as the two interruption arches have assumed the form that is entered in dashed lines in the drawing, the common arc 25, which extends from the switching pin 17 to the switching pin 18 and is now blown quickly upwards in the blow chamber under the action of the compressed air jets, is formed from them is made to extinguish.

The formation of the common arc results in a significant improvement in the bubble. Namely, the descending branches of the individual sheets, designated by 23 and 24, are withdrawn from the blowing, especially in their lower part. A favorable cooling of the arc takes place mainly in the axis of the blow nozzle. It must therefore be ensured that the arc is as large as possible

 runs in this axis.

This is achieved to a higher degree with the common arc 25 than with two individual arcs, because the descending branches of the arcs have a repulsive effect on the ascending branches running in the axis, so that these ascending branches are pushed out of the axis and tend to attach to the nozzle wall and continue to burn in this way in a shortened form. The common arc 25 is the
