Handzange zum Einziehen von Sehweins-od. dgl. Nasenringen.

Hand pliers for pulling in Sehwein or. like nose rings.

The invention relates to hand-held pliers for pulling in nose rings in pigs or similar animals, the clamping force of which ceases automatically when the ring closure is reached.

In the known pliers of this type, for example, a stop adjustably attached to one of the two pliers handles triggers a locking bolt at the moment of the closure of the nose ring, which non-positively couples one of the clamping jaws hinged to the other pincer grip, whereby this now released jaw is ineffective so that the pliers can then be easily pulled out or removed from the ring.

In order to automatically open the jaws of the pliers after a pig's ring has been pinched together, the hand pliers according to the invention are designed in such a way that the one handle leg consists of a separate handle piece which is attached only to the counter handle leg by a spreading spring, and which has an end nose or the like in a frictional connection There is engagement with a resilient and limited pivotable extension leg of the jaw to be released, so that when the ring closure is reached, the grip piece slides off the extension leg and the jaw thus released swings resiliently outward.

In the drawing, the subject matter of the invention is illustrated in an exemplary embodiment in FIGS. 1, 2 and 3 in three different clamping positions.

The pliers shown in the drawing consist of two pressure legs a, which are connected to one another in an articulated manner by the pin b, the clamping jaws of which are held apart by a spring e arranged between the legs. By means of an adjusting screw cl arranged on a pressure leg and acting as a stop, the lifting position required for closing a ring can be adjusted to the diameter of the ring. For the automatic release and opening of the clamping jaws, a handle part c is attached to one of the two pressure legs a by means of a resilient member 1, which in the rest position engages on the beveled end h of the other, suitably shorter pressure leg a (Fig. 1 ).

After inserting an open ring piece g between the jaws of the pliers, the short pressure leg a is pressed against the action of the spring e by the stop c, which is under the pressure of the hand, against the other pressure leg a until the adjusting screw d hits the other pressure leg and the Ring g is closed (Fig. 2).

At the moment the adjusting screw d strikes the opposite pressure leg a, the stop c, which is still under the pressure of the hand, slides from the beveled end h of the short pressure leg a held in its limit position, so that it is immediately under the pressure of the tensioned spring e returns to its starting position and releases the ring g or the snout of the animal in question through the opening jaws (FIG. 3).
