Description

Process for the production of Kemmutators.

In order to isolate the commutator segments from the bushing holding the segments, sleeves made of insulating material - the so-called sleeves - are often placed between the segments and the bushing
Commutator sleeves - arranged, which consist of mica or other insulating material and are pressed into the final shape using adhesives. Such
Sleeves are expensive, however, and due to their rigidity, they are not completely satisfied with the
Put on the bushing or the conical end rings holding the slats. They are also sensitive to temperature fluctuations.

The invention now enables the use of completely adhesive-free insulating means in that the insulating intermediate layer attached between the commutator segments and the socket is only brought into the shape corresponding to the dovetail tails of the segments when the commutator is assembled. In the case of smaller commutators, a flat disk can be used for this, which is provided with radial slots on its edge and which is firmly placed between the lamellae and the socket when the commutator is pressed together. If the commutator has a larger diameter, it is not possible to use an undivided disc. Thus, according to the invention, the pane can be composed of several segments.

In order to be able to put these segments together to form a circular ring, the commutator bushing and the rings that are pushed onto it and delimit the end faces of the commutator are expediently provided with holes through which bolts are inserted, onto which the segments are stacked in a circular ring and with certainty during the compression in this position be held. This ring formed by the mica segments is formed into a conical socket or sleeve when pressed together between the dovetails of the lamellas and the conical rings of the socket. The bolts can be removed again after the commutator has been assembled.

In the drawing, an embodiment of the invention is shown, u. Between FIG. 1 shows a longitudinal section through the finished commutator and FIG. 2 shows a view of the disk used to isolate the lamellae prior to installation in the commutator. In the case of the commutator shown in FIG. 1, the commutator segments 11 are arranged on a bush 1, 2 which is fixed on the motor shaft 13 so as to be immovable. The lamellae 11 are insulated from the bushing 12 by a cylindrical sleeve 14 made of insulating material and by two partially conical disks 15 which are arranged between the internally conical rings 16 and 17 delimiting the end faces of the commutator and the lamellae.

The rings 16 and 17 are pushed onto the ends of the bushing 12 and are screwed onto the end of the bushing 12, designed as a threaded pin J'S, by a nut 18

Then the commutator bars clamped in a retaining ring in a known manner are inserted with the interposition of the insulating sleeve 14 and on its other side. likewise the mica segments 21 are layered on the bolts 24. If the two end rings 16 are now pushed together by means of the nuts 18, the mica segments are pressed against the dovetail of the lamellas and finally acquire the conical shape corresponding to the dovetail. After the nuts 18 have been tightened, the bolts 24 can be removed, the remaining bores 22 and 23 and the space between the bushing 12 and the insulating sleeve 14 serving to guide the cooling air that enters through the bores 23 of the end rings 16 and 1'7 and the heat from the fins 11

are and do not always guarantee a good cause.
