Printed inside wall of the mold. Thus, the molded product is compressed on the one hand by the centrifugal force and on the other hand by the increasing pressure of the gases or vapors enclosed in the cavity of the molding. Since the gases or vapors can escape freely from the molded product, completely pore-free and uniformly dense molded bodies are formed.
A further pressing force arises from the sudden cooling of the metal mold, which has been stretched by the heating, as a result of which it contracts and exerts a compressive force on the material to be molded, which is opposite to the forces already mentioned.
The drawing shows, for example, a device for carrying out the method according to the invention.
In the hermetically sealable and one-piece metal mold a, which inside the

beginning gas or. Steam development heated, warm plastic or warm liquid state introduced and then the form, which is open on one side for this purpose, closed airtight with a lid and pressurized seal. The mold is supported at one end by means of the axis i in the bearings Cl and c :, and at the other end rests on the rollers d1 and d2. It is rotatable about the axis of the hollow body to be formed.
The filled form is rotated by the pulley e, u. between about 500 revolutions per minute, and heated at the same time by means of any heat source, expediently by means of crude oil burners. The centrifugal force that occurs as a result of the high number of revolutions presses the malleable material to be molded against the inner wall of the metal mold, which has been expanded by the supplied heat, as a result of which a gas core is formed inside the mold.
The load is shaped and compressed at the same time by the effect of the centrifugal force, which is dependent on the number of revolutions. With this force acts simultaneously and in the same sense, a pressure force that arises as a result of the heat input through the gases or vapors escaping from the contents and the expansion of the air enclosed in the mold, the size of which depends on the amount of heat supplied. Both forces act in the direction of the vertical on the hollow body axis, u. between centrifugal. Both forces are now applied for a correspondingly long time, if necessary also increased, until the desired compression of the
EMI2.2
suddenly pay off the shape.
As a result of the sudden cooling, the expanded material of the mold contracts quickly and this creates a further pressing force, which also acts in the direction of the vertical on the hollow body axis. but opposite to the aforementioned forces. which are still effective at this point in time, i.e. acting in the centripetal direction.
Since the mold is made from one piece, the pressing piece produced in this way is pushed out of the mold with the aid of a ram in the following manner. The very screw spindle g is with the
EMI2.3
can move. If the free part of the screw spindle protruding from the axis is clamped close to the axis and during the rotation of the same by means of a two-part and immovably held nut, the spindle g and the ram t connected to it move in the axis

PATENT CLAIMS:
1. Process for pressing hollow bodies from materials which can be molded in the warm state, in particular. those which contain gases or vapors evolving substances, characterized in that the molded material up to the beginning of gas or. Steam is heated, filled into an airtight, cold or preheated mold and the latter is set in rotation after the gas-tight seal, whereupon for the purpose of increasing the gas or. Steam development of the mold or the mold is supplied with additional heat and finally, after the supply of heat has been stopped, the mold is suddenly cooled.
