Elektrolyt-Kondensator.

Electrolytic capacitor.
It is known to design the electrodes in electrolytic capacitors as metal strips which are rolled up with the interposition of a spacer in the manner of a wound capacitor.
The spacer can serve as a dielectric at the same time or, if dielectric layers are present on the electrodes, it can also consist of fibrous material soaked with electrolyte. In order to achieve a further saving in space compared to the known arrangement, according to the invention one electrode is designed as an absorbent textile fabric with inserted metal wires. By using the textile fabric, a special spacer is unnecessary. The use of a fabric also has the advantage that sufficient spaces are created in which the electrolyte can be stored. The way in which the fabric can be formed is shown by an embodiment according to FIG.
The electrode according to the invention consists of a number of aluminum wires 1, which are loose

wires 1 are firmly connected to a power supply wire 3. Warp threads 4 made of textile are also placed between the individual conductors 1, which are connected to one another by the weft threads 5 made of textile.

on the fabric electrode reinforcing ribs 6 as spacers for the turns of the second electrode designed as a metal strip.
As can be seen in FIGS. 2 and 3, the fabric electrode shown in FIG. 1 is to be wound with a metal strip electrode to form a spiral. In Fig. 2 is a part of a section through the spiral, u. is shown perpendicular to the winding direction, while FIG. 3 shows a section through the spiral in the winding direction.
In FIGS. 2 and 3, the metal strip electrode is denoted by? designated. The other reference symbols have the same meaning as already described in FIG. 1. It should be noted that both the cathode and the anode can be designed as fabric electrodes. Since the capacitance depends on the surface area of the anode, it is advisable, in order to create a particularly large surface area, to design the anode as a fabric electrode and to use a metal strip electrode as the cathode.
