Muffle furnace with oil or natural gas firing.
The invention relates to a muffle furnace (annealing furnace, enamelling furnace, etc.) which is equipped with an oil or natural gas furnace.
In the known muffle constructions, in which heating by oil or natural gas burners takes place from the side opposite the loading door, i.e. from the rear wall of the furnace, the molded stone or plate covers of the directly heated floor ducts (combustion ducts) close in the same plane as the muffle side and Muffle vault plates on the muffle rear wall, which can be built from normal stones or composed of corresponding shaped plate stones.
According to the present invention, the molded stone or molded plate cover, which can be flat, arched or roof-shaped, of one or more directly heated floor channels continues to the outer surface of the furnace rear wall and is air-cooled between the muffle and furnace rear wall, which are intercepted by vaults. In addition, the side walls and the floor of the firing channels are not bricked with the muffle and furnace rear wall.
This design not only increases the service life of the fireclay material considerably in the parts of the combustion ducts that are highly stressed by the expansion of the flame, but also makes repairs much easier.
The drawing shows an embodiment of a muffle furnace set up according to the invention, u. between Fig. 1 in vertical longitudinal section, in Fig. 2 in horizontal section at the level of the upper edge of a mold plate cover and in Fig. 3 in vertical cross section. Fig. 4 shows in a vertical cross section the design according to the invention in a muffle furnace with two firing channels.
The molded stone or molded plate cover a of the directly heated floor channel (combustion channel) b is continued up to the outer surface of the furnace, i.e. from 0 to P. The muffle rear wall is supported by the vault c, the furnace rear wall by the vault d. The plate e allows the air to be cooled between 0 and P. The air enters through the opening {via a and exits through the opening g into the heating duct, which is designated by h. The bottom and the side walls! ', / F of the firing channel b are not built in connection with the rest of the kiln masonry, as is the infill masonry l between a and the vaults c and d.
