Nickel- Silizium- Beryllium-Legierung.

Nickel-silicon-beryllium alloy.
The invention relates to thermally heat treatable nickel-silicon-beryllium alloys with a predominant nickel content. The silicon content can be up to 5%, the beryllium content up to about 10%. The alloys can optionally contain up to 40% copper. According to the invention, these alloys are given an addition of chromium of up to 40% and, if appropriate, an addition of small amounts of tungsten, manganese, magnesium, vanadium individually or in groups.
The alloys according to the invention have good technical properties which, if desired, can be significantly increased by a treatment similar to that known for Niekel beryllium alloys. This applies in particular to the hardness and strength of the alloys. Thermal tempering takes place in such a way that the alloys are tempered to temperatures of a few hundred degrees, after quenching in liquids or cooling in the air from temperatures of around 800-1200 C.
