  Wall cladding made from panels.

Wall cladding panels, on the edges of which projections and cutouts corresponding to these are arranged which are less than the total panel thickness, are known. It is also known to provide wall cladding panels made of glass on the rear side with protruding sheet metal tabs which reach under the adjacent panel and are used to fasten the panels to the wall. According to the invention, the wall cladding panel is on its back with a second plate made of nailable material, for. B. od wood pulp. Like. Provided, which is provided in a known manner with recesses and these corresponding flaps. The two plates are connected to one another by means of a suitable cement or adhesive or by rivets.

The plate made of nailable material is fastened to the wall to be covered by means of nails or screws, these fastening plates remaining invisible. The advantage of the new wall cladding is that the commercially available panels can be attached with invisible nailing (screwing).

By reinforcing the fastening plate at the nail points or by adding inserts of appropriate thickness on the back of the fastening plate facing the wall, this is created when the plate is attached to the wall. a cavity between the wall and the panels. This known cavity (air duct) between the wall and cladding is used for insulation purposes. By changing the thickened areas mentioned, unevenness in the wall can also be compensated for, so that the tiles show a flat surface even with uneven walls.

The drawing Fig. 1 shows the fastening plate 7 to be fastened to the wall tile with the recesses 1 and the protruding tabs 2, as well as the reinforcements 3 at the nail points of the tabs. Fig. 2 shows a tile plate 6, to which the fastening plate is already attached, seen from the front. The reinforcements. 3 are omitted in FIGS. 2 and 3. The protruding under the tile plate parts of the tabs 2 and the projecting part 4 of the mounting plate are used to hold the nails or screws. 3 shows how the tabs 2 and the elongated projections 4 can be accommodated in the recesses 5 by pushing the following plate.

4 shows the side view of a tile plate 6 provided with the fastening plate 7, attached to an uneven wall, the thickenings or inserts 3 having a compensating effect and forming the air duct.

   PATENT CLAIMS:
1. Wall cladding with panels, characterized in that on the back of the wall tiles (6) special panels (7) made of nailable material, for. B. wood pulp or the like. With recesses (1) and these corresponding flaps (2) are attached by gluing or riveting, which allow the attachment of the tiles to the wall by means of nails or screws.
