Schutzeinrichtung an Bügeleisen.
Gegenstand der Erfindung ist eine weitere Ausbildung der insbesondere für Gasbügeleisen bestimmten Einrichtung gemäss Patent Nr. 140069 zum Schutze des Handgriffes gegen übermässige Erhitzung. Infolge der durch mindestens eine schräge Platte bewirkten Ablenkung der reissen Abgase nach der einen Seite des Bügeleisens ist der Handgriff einer Erhitzung durch die abströmenden Gase lediglich auf einer Seite ausgesetzt.
Die Erfindung hat Massnahmen zum Inhalt, welche diese einseitige Erhitzung des Handgriffes selbst dann sehr gering machen, wenn nur eine einzige schräge Fläche zum Ablenken der Gase vorgesehen ist. Die Erfindung erreicht ihren Zweck insbesondere durch Anordnung des Handgriffes ausserhalb der Mittelebene des Eisens und ausserdem durch eine besondere Abschirmschale.
In der Zeichnung ist die neue Einrichtung in einem Querschnitt an einem Ausführungsbeispiel veranschaulicht, welches beispielsweise die Deckplunterfläche als schräge Ablenkfläche ausbildet.
Mit 1 ist der Grundkörper, mit 2 der Deckel des Bügeleisens bezeichnet. Die Deckelunterfläche 3 ist über die ganze Breite des Bügeleisens schräg verlaufend ausgebildet, wodurch die heissen Abgase durch die Öffnungen 4 auf einer Seite ausströmen, wobei diese Öffnungen höher angeordnet sind als die Öffnungen 5 der andern Seite.
Der Griff 6 ist um das Mass 7 von der Mittelebene 7-77 entfernt angeordnet und am Deckel beispielsweise durch gekröpfte Halter 8 befestigt.
Zum vollständigen Ablenken der aus den Öffnungen 4 nach aufwärts strömenden Abgase ist es vorteilhaft, eine AblenkscLale 9 oder eine Abschirmplatte mit beliebiger Neigung anzuordnen, zu deren Befestigung am Deckel die Befestigungsmittel 10 des handgriffes mit diesem herangezogen werden können.
Über dem Deckel 2 kann eine Abschirmplatte 11 unter Freilassung eines schrägen Kanales 12 im Sinne des Stammpatentes angeordnet sein.
Die Wirkung des ausserhalb der Mitte angeordneten Handgriffes im Verein mit der Ablenkschale ergibt eine vollkommene Sicherung gegen Erhitzung des Griffes ; doch bietet auch jede der beiden Schutz- massnahmen für sich allein eine wesentliche Herabsetzung der Erwärmung.

The subject of the invention is a further embodiment of the device according to patent no. 140069, intended in particular for gas irons, to protect the handle against excessive heating. As a result of the deflection of the exhaust gases caused by at least one inclined plate to one side of the iron, the handle is only exposed to heating by the gases flowing off on one side.
The invention relates to measures which make this one-sided heating of the handle very low even if only a single inclined surface is provided for deflecting the gases. The invention achieves its purpose in particular by arranging the handle outside the center plane of the iron and also by a special shielding shell.
In the drawing, the new device is illustrated in a cross section using an exemplary embodiment which, for example, forms the lower surface of the deck as an inclined deflecting surface.

The effect of the handle arranged outside the center in combination with the deflection bowl provides complete protection against heating of the handle; however, each of the two protective measures also offers a significant reduction in warming on its own.
