EMI1.1
The invention relates to a special design of the hitch for trailers for bicycles, motorcycles and. Like. With an elastic coupling consisting of leaf springs, in which an unhardened safety sheet is installed.
The drawing shows in FIG. 1 the trailer, for example on a motorcycle, of which only the rear wheel is shown, while FIGS. 2 and 3 show the elastic hitch in plan and floor plan.
The trailer consists of the two wheels 1, the axle 3, the two springs 4 and the frame 6. On the frame 6, a box 7 made of wood or sheet metal is attached, which has a rear wall 8 which can be folded back and which is also advantageous for introduction of the load in the box 7 is used.
At the front end of the frame 6 an upwardly and downwardly acting leaf spring collar 10 is attached, which is coupled to the tractor by means of a ball joint 11 and 12. Struts 13 are provided on the tractor, which support part 12 of the ball joint. The struts 13 are held vertically by a strut 14 fastened within the fender 15. The rear wheel of the machine is labeled 16.
The clutch spring 10 is attached to the frame 6 of the trailer by means of spring balances 17 and 18.
An uncured spring leaf 19 is built into the spring 10 over the same length as the main leaf 20 and is held laterally and upwards by means of a stepped nut 21. The elongated hole 23 in the leaf 19 is provided in order to allow the latter sufficient leeway when the spring 10 or the main leaf 20 is bent. The shoulder 22 of the nut 21 is used to clamp the ball stud 11 in the main sheet 20 and to guide the safety sheet 19, while the hexagonal part of the nut 21 supports the safety sheet 19 in the event that the main sheet 20 should break.
