Holding device for stockings and other items of clothing.
The invention relates to a holding device for stockings and other items of clothing, consisting of a support yoke through which a holding part, usually hanging downward from the yoke, is swung in order to fasten the stocking or the item of clothing to the holding part.
During this movement of the holding part through the support yoke, the edge of the stocking is grasped by the downwardly protruding end of the holding part, so that part of the stocking is folded between the legs of the support yoke on the one hand and between these legs and the holding part, wrapped around the end of the holding part and is thereby held. According to the invention, the holding part is provided with a protective strip at the end at which the edge of the stocking or the like is to be grasped, which prevents damage or injury to the latter when the holding part engages the garment to be grasped.
This protective strip, which comes into contact with the edge of the stocking or other item of clothing, is preferably made of flexible material and is provided with a free, soft end, which hugs the tissue of the item of clothing when it is wrapped around the end of the holding part .
The drawings represent exemplary embodiments of the subject matter of the invention as well as its use:
1, 2, 3 and 4 show schematically the type of use of the holding device of the invention, FIGS. 5, 6 and 7 show an embodiment in front view, edge view and in enlarged partial section along line 7-7 in FIGS. 6 and 8 a front view of another embodiment of the holding device, and FIGS. 9 and 10 show, on an enlarged scale, a front view and detail sections along line 9-9 in FIG. 8 and 10-10 in FIG. 9, respectively.
As the schematic representations in Fig. 1-4 show, the holding part A is carried by a support yoke B, which the latter is attached to a strip or tape C (Fig. 5). The holding part A is designed with respect to the yoke B so that it can be swung through the same, but usually hangs freely downward from this support yoke under its own weight. According to FIG. 5, the yoke B is bow-shaped, between the legs 60 of which the holding part A is swingably attached so that it can be swung through the entire bow, while according to FIG. 8 the carrier B has the shape of an almost rectangular frame.
The holding part A for the item of clothing, which is to be secured against unintentional automatic release, is designed as a part equipped with lateral arms 61, which is button-like at the lower end at D and provided with a protective strip 90, which consists of flexible material and a has free downward protruding end. The arms 61 of this holding part are with their upper

Ends of the arms 61 are provided with pivot pins 63 projecting outwards. Furthermore, according to these figures, the support yoke B is produced as a punched piece from sheet metal. The flat punched piece is accordingly folded onto itself so that it represents a bracket with the legs 60 in a front view.
The cross piece of the bracket is provided with a slot for the introduction of a wire eyelet to which the retaining strap C is attached. The lower ends of the legs 60, however, are widened to form eyelets 62 in which the pivot pins 63 of the arms 61 of the holding part are rotatably mounted. The yoke B and the holding part A can therefore be rotated by 180 or 360 with respect to one another. In order to avoid accidental
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
To prevent the pivot pin 63 from slipping out of the eyelets 62, the pivot pin 63 according to FIG. 7 is provided with a reinforcement 64 which can be produced, for example, by upsetting, and the eyelets have an inwardly shouldered part 65 which prevents the head 64 from slipping out .
In the embodiment according to FIGS. 8-10, the legs 60 of the yoke B are connected to one another at their lower end by a transverse web 80. The arms 61 of the holding part A are connected to one another at their upper end by a sleeve 81 which surrounds this transverse web 80. This holding part is also relocated with respect to the support yoke B so that it can be swung through the yoke. In order to prevent the holding part A from vibrating around the carrier B when in use, the transverse web 80 is on the underside at? flattened (FIGS. 9 and 10), and on the arms 61 of the holding part A, tongues 83 protruding towards one another sit, which are somewhat resilient and rest resiliently against the flattened underside of the transverse web 80.
The front and rear walls of the transverse web 80 can also be flattened, as shown in FIG. 9 at 84, so that when the holding part A oscillates with respect to the carrier joint B, the resilient tongues 83 come to rest under pressure against these flattened points and the endeavor have to get the holding part in angular positions with respect to the yoke B. However, the pressure under which these resilient tongues 83 rest against the sides and lower surface of the web 80 is not so great that it would make the oscillation of the holding part A around the web of the yoke B completely impossible.
According to FIG. 8, the holding part A has a protective covering 121 made of rubber or a similar mass at the free end, which can simply be pushed or slipped over the free end of the holding part A or can be vulcanized with it in order to form the protective head D.
When using the device, the holding part A is first allowed to hang freely from the carrier B, as shown in FIG. 1. The lower end of the holding part lies close to the item of clothing or stocking to be grasped and has a design that enables the edge of this fabric F to be grasped. If the holding part A is now swung upwards (Fig. 2), the upper edge of the fabric F being held on the head D of this holding part, then a part of the fabric F with the head D is pulled through the carrier B (Fig . 3). Then the holding part A is swung further downwards so that it assumes the same position with respect to the carrier as it did first (FIG. 4).
In this case, however, an edge part of the tissue F is now wound around the head D of the holding part A and any tensile stress on the tissue F will only increase the engagement on the head D of the holding part. To trigger the connection, it is then only necessary to To swing the holding part A back through the carrier B, the previously detected edge zone of the tissue unwinding from the head D again by itself. If this does not take place, a slight pull on the tissue is sufficient to complete the detachment.
