Dichtrahmen für Gasschutzmasken.
Die Erfindung betrifft einen Dichtrahmen für Gasschutzmasken und besteht im wesentlichen darin, dass der Dichtrahmen an der Übergangsstelle zwischen Befestigungsrand und Dichtungsfläche dünn und elastisch, an der Dichtungsfläche dagegen dickwandig ausgebildet ist. Derartigen Dichtrahmen gibt man vorteilhaft einen etwa S-förmigen Querschnitt.
Diese Dichtrahmen eignen sich besonders für Masken, die mit einem Atemfilter von geringem Gewicht zusammengetragen werden, so dass beim Laufen, Springen oder bei sonstigen stärkeren Bewegungen des Geräteträgers nicht mit einer ruckweisen Beanspruchung der Maske gerechnet zu werden braucht.
Auch ist dieser Rahmen besonders geeignet, um die Maske unregelmässigen Gesichtsformen gut anzupassen. Die dickwandige Ausbildung der dem Gesicht anliegenden Fläche schützt den Dichtrahmen gegen Abnutzung durch Reibung oder Schweiss.
In der Zeichnung ist eine Ausführungsform des erfindungsgemässen Dichtrahmens dargestellt, u. zw. bezeichnet a den Maskenstoff, der bei b mit dem Dichtrahmen c vernäht oder sonstwie verbunden ist. Die Übergangsstelle d ist dünnwandig, die Dichtungsfläche e starkwandig ausgebildet.

The invention relates to a sealing frame for gas protective masks and essentially consists in the fact that the sealing frame is thin and elastic at the transition point between the fastening edge and the sealing surface, whereas it is thick-walled at the sealing surface. Such sealing frames are advantageously given an approximately S-shaped cross section.
These sealing frames are particularly suitable for masks that are put together with a light-weight breathing filter, so that the mask wearer does not have to reckon with jerky stresses when running, jumping or other strong movements.
This frame is also particularly suitable for adapting the mask to irregular face shapes. The thick-walled design of the surface lying against the face protects the sealing frame against wear and tear from friction or sweat.
