Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

  Drive and wheel bearings for vehicles, in particular trolley and similar vehicles.

   The invention relates to drive and wheel bearings for vehicles, in particular trolleys and similar vehicles, the wheels being able to move up and down independently of one another by being mounted on swinging pendulum axles and each being driven by a special motor which is in close proximity to the center of the vehicle the plane of the vehicle wheels driven by them and consists in that the motor is arranged near the outer end of a pendulum axle, the other end of which is on the chassis near the center of the vehicle or on the opposite outer support of the car body or chassis is articulated, whereby the advantage over such known arrangements (patent no. 144684) is achieved that the long connecting shaft between motor and wheel is omitted.

  In the drawing, the subject matter of the invention is illustrated schematically, for example.

   The pendulum axle 1 is attached to a suitable part of the frame either approximately in the center of the vehicle with the aid of the eye 2 or on the opposite outer support with the aid of the eye 2 '. The outer end of the axle has an upward bend 3 and ends in the stub axle 4 used to support the wheel. The shaft 5 of the electric motor passes through a hole in the stub axle? through. The motor 6 is attached to a corresponding flange of the axle. A wheel 7 of the gear unit driving the wagon wheel is keyed onto the outer end of the shaft 5. This wheel along with the entire transmission is arranged on the outside of the vehicle.

   This is advantageous in that it enables easy access to the visual organs.

   Naturally, numerous modifications are possible in the design given here, both with regard to the wheel bearings and the precise arrangement of the motor.

   PATENT CLAIMS:
1. Drive and wheel bearings for vehicles, especially trolleys and similar cars, whereby the wheels can be moved up and down independently of one another by being mounted on oscillating pendulum axles and are each driven by a special motor that is in the immediate vicinity of the plane of the vehicle wheels they drive are arranged, characterized in that the motor is arranged in the vicinity of the outer end of a pendulum axle, the other end of which is hinged to the chassis near the center of the vehicle or to the outer support of the car body or chassis.
