Vorrichtung zur Behandlung der Vagina mit Dampf od. dgl.
Es sind verschiedene Apparate zur Wärmebehandlung der Vagina bekannt, welche teils unter Verwendung elektrisch beheizter, in die Vagina einführbarer Körper funktionieren, teils die Anwendung verschiedener Strahlenarten ermöglichen, wobei z. B. Lampen od. dgl. in die Vagina eingeführt werden.
Bei einem bekannten Apparat dieser Art dient ein mit zahlreichen Löchern versehener konusartiger Hohlkörper aus Gummi dazu, die direkte Berührung des Lampenkörpers mit den empfindlichen Geweben der Vagina zu verhüten. Er wird also über die in die Vagina einzuführende Lampe gestülpt.
Zweck vorliegender Erfindung ist es, einen Apparat zu schaffen, welcher ohne komplizierte Hilfsmittel die Anwendung von Dampf bei der Behandlung der Vagina ermöglicht. Die Zeichnung zeigt eine beispielsweise Ausführung des Gegenstandes vorliegender Erfindung.
Der erfindungsgemässe Apparat besteht aus einem mit Löchern versehenen konischen Hohlkörper 1, der der Grösse der Vagina angepasst ist. An diesen Teil wird ein sich erweiternder glockeförmiger Teil 2 angeschlossen. Der konusartige Teil 1 wird mit Glyzerin oder Vaseline eingefettet in die Scheide so tief als möglich eingeführt, sodann setzt sich die Patientin mit dem Eingeführten auf ein mit Warmwasser gefülltes Gefäss und lässt die Wärme (Dunst) 5-10 Minuten einwirken. Der glockeförmige Teil 2 bewirkt, dass den aufsteigenden Dämpfen eine grosse Einströmöffnung geboten wird, so dass Dampf und damit Hitze in beträchtlichem Umfang zur zu behandelnden Körperstelle geführt wird.

An expanding bell-shaped part 2 is connected to this part. The cone-like part 1 is greased with glycerine or petroleum jelly and inserted into the vagina as deeply as possible, then the patient and the inserted person sit down on a vessel filled with warm water and let the heat (vapor) take effect for 5-10 minutes. The bell-shaped part 2 has the effect that a large inflow opening is offered to the rising vapors, so that a considerable amount of steam and thus heat is conducted to the area of the body to be treated.
