Headgear of gas protective masks.
The invention relates to head harnesses for gas protective masks. This consists of two or three headbands and two temple bands. These ligaments converge at the back of the head and form the so-called head plate at the point of intersection. In addition to these head straps that span the skull, the mask also has a neck strap and a strap. In some masks, the neck strap is freely guided around the neck, but in other masks it is connected to the head strap that spans the skull by means of a loop or a hook attached to the head plate. There are also arrangements in which the neck tape and the fastener tape are united with one another in that the fastener tape forms the extension of the neck tape.
In the headband arrangement according to the invention, the neck band is connected to the band that spans the skull. Two straps extend from the side of the head plate, each of which has a clamp buckle with a movable bar at the free end. The fastener tape attached to each side of the mask is pulled through these clamping buckles. The clamping buckles are provided with handles, by means of which the buckle fastening can be easily undone.

Bands Cl and e2, which are preferably designed as spring bands. These straps each have a clamping buckle f1 and n with a movable (slidable) bar at their end. The fastener tape g attached to both sides of the mask is pulled through this clamping buckle.
If you want to wear the mask in readiness, you hang it with the strap g around your neck. In this position, the clamping buckles are completely loose and can be easily moved on the strap. The mask is put on in the usual way. After putting on the mask wearer pulls on both sides of the strap. As a result, a tension is exerted on the tapes C1 and E2 in the direction of the fastening points of the fastener tape. When you let go of the strap, the clamping buckles close. If the connection is to be released again, the clamping buckles must be moved towards the top plate. The clamping buckles are each provided with a handle Ai for better handling. By means of these handles, the mask wearer moves the buckles in the direction of the head plate.
This relaxes the ligaments and e again, and the mask can be removed in the usual way.
