Scheider für galvanische Elemente, insbesondere alkalische Akkumulatoren.
Die vorliegende Erfindung bezieht sieh auf einen Scheider für galvanische Elemente, insbesondere alkalische Akkumulatoren. An derartige Scheider stellt man die Anforderung, dass die Isolation der Elektroden unbedingt sichergestellt ist, im übrigen aber der Abzug der Gase aus dem Element möglichst wenig behindert wird. Weiterhin sollen derartige Scheider auch den inneren Widerstand des Elementes möglichst wenig erhöhen und im übrigen so konstruiert sein, dass ein mechanisch fester und auch gegen Erschütterungen unempfindlicher Zusammenbau erzielt wird.
Bei dem vorliegenden Scheider werden alle diese Vorteile dadurch erreicht, dass er aus Stäben aus isolierendem Material besteht, welche durch schwächer gehaltene Querverbindungen gleichen oder ähnlichen Isoliermaterials so zu einem Ganzen verbunden sind, dass eine Verlagerung der Stäbe in der Scheiderebene ausgeschlossen und ein ungehindertes Aufsteigen der von der Zelle entwickelten Gase gewährleistet ist.
Die Zeichnung zeigt ein Ausführungsbeispiel des Scheiders nach der Erfindung.
Wie ersichtlich, besteht der Scheider aus den isolierenden Stäben sl, s. usw. Diese Stäbe sind durch die Querverbindungen e, Q2 usw. von schwächer gehaltener Stärke zu einem Ganzen miteinander verbunden. Auf diese Weise wird ein mechanisch durchaus widerstandsfähiges Gebilde erzielt, welches eine sichere Trennung der Elektroden voneinander gewährleistet, im übrigen aber den elektrischen Widerstand der Zelle nicht erhöht und ein völlig ungehindertes Aufsteigen der von der Zelle entwickelten Gase gewährleistet.

The present invention relates to a separator for galvanic elements, in particular alkaline storage batteries. The requirement of such separators is that the insulation of the electrodes is absolutely guaranteed, but otherwise the removal of the gases from the element is hindered as little as possible. Furthermore, such separators should also increase the internal resistance of the element as little as possible and, moreover, should be designed in such a way that an assembly that is mechanically strong and also insensitive to vibrations is achieved.
In the case of the present separator, all these advantages are achieved in that it consists of rods made of insulating material, which are connected to a whole by weaker cross connections of the same or similar insulating material in such a way that a shift of the rods in the separator plane is excluded and an unhindered ascent of the gases developed by the cell is guaranteed.
The drawing shows an embodiment of the separator according to the invention.
As can be seen, the separator consists of the insulating rods sl, s. etc. These bars are connected to one another to form a whole by the cross connections e, Q2 etc., which are of weaker strength. In this way, a mechanically very resistant structure is achieved, which ensures a reliable separation of the electrodes from one another, but does not otherwise increase the electrical resistance of the cell and ensures a completely unhindered rise of the gases developed by the cell.
