Way to offer the best. According to the invention, in the middle of the fire chamber is one of them
Floor outgoing vertical refractory column provided, which extends to the burner head arranged on the fire chamber ceiling. The column preferably has an axial air duct for the secondary air which opens into a gap-like space between the upper end of the column and the burner head. The outlet from the fire chamber is expediently arranged on its floor.
In the drawing, an example embodiment of a furnace designed according to the invention is shown, u. FIG. 1 shows a side view with parts broken away and showing the burner device in connection with the furnace. Figure 2 is a horizontal cross-section taken along line 2-2 of Figure 1 with part of the top wall of the furnace broken away.
The furnace has an outer wall 43 and a floor 44 made of refractory material which, together with the vault R, enclose the combustion chamber C, in the center of which there is a column 45 extending upward from the floor 44 and made in one piece with it. The column 45 is cylindrical and gives the combustion chamber an annular shape. The column ends a short distance below the lower surface 46 of the vault R, which forms the upper boundary surface of the combustion chamber, so that a gap 47 remains free for the fuel ve. distribution header j! records. The circumference 47 'of the intermediate space 47 serves as an inlet for the fuel into the combustion chamber C. An outlet 48 for the combustion products is in the wall 43, and the like. between in an extension 4.
T is provided, the outlet being arranged at the bottom of the combustion chamber C so that it is at a certain perpendicular distance from the inlet 47 '.
An inlet pipe 49 monitored by a valve 50 leads to an air duct 51 which passes through the center of the column 45. As a result, by adjusting the valve 50, secondary air can be supplied in measured quantities to the fuel distribution head 1, which can be rotated rapidly by means of a motor M to which it is directly connected.
The high speed of rotation of the distribution head 1 causes intensive turbulence in the combustion chamber C. This turbulence promotes the mixing of the atomized fuel with the air, so that an explosive mixture is obtained almost simultaneously with the entry of the fuel and the air into the combustion chamber C. As a result, combustion occurs instantaneously, u. continued as the mixed gases are swirled downward through the combustion chamber.
