   Das Stammpatent betrifft einen aus einer   übereutektischen   Legierung des Aluminiums mit einem oder mehreren der Metalle der Eisengruppe (umfassend die Elemente Chrom, Mangan, Eisen, Nickel, Kobalt) bestehenden Werkstoff und seine   Anwendung für   Gleitlager,   also für Maschinenteile für   drehende oder hin-und herdrehende Bewegung. Die vorliegende Erfindung beruht auf der Erkenntnis, dass ein   solcherWerkstoff   mit Vorteilaueh für andere der gleitenden Reibung ausgesetzte Körper, d. h. Maschinenteile od. dgl. für Verschiebebewegungen, verwendbar ist. Erfindungsgemäss wird daher vorgeschlagen, diesen Werkstoff bei dem einen Teil eines Verschiebekörperpaares, z.

   B. gebildet von Kreuzkopf und Führung, Kulissenstein und Kulisse, Stange und   Führungshülse,   Schieber und Schieberspiegel, Kolben und Zylinder, anzuwenden ; dabei können diese Teile entweder ganz oder zum Teil, insbesondere an den der gleitenden Reibung ausgesetzten Stellen, aus diesem Werkstoff bestehen. Der andere Teil des Verschiebekörperpaares kann aus einem der für solche Teile üblichen Werkstoffe, z. B. Stahl oder Gusseisen, hergestellt sein.
