Dosing device for shortwave therapy devices.
The subject matter of the invention is a device which allows a direct measurement and thus a dosage of the power consumed by the treatment object in the treatment circuit of high-frequency therapy transmitters during the treatment process, regardless of the size of the radiation attenuation. The principle of the method is that by means of a circular meter (so-called Qu-Factor-Meter in the Anglo-Saxon literature) the resonance increase of the treatment group is measured once without and once with the treatment object and from this the equivalent series loss resistance of the treatment object is determined.
This method has the advantage that it enables the determination of partial attenuations that are switched on next to one another

Measurement with the object to be treated directly in equivalent loss resistances or in a proportionality factor of the loss resistance without calibration object.
The performance determination in the treatment circle can be made with knowledge of the equivalent loss resistance by forming the products J2 R or Er. According to the invention, this product formation is carried out directly in an instrument by measuring J or E with a Thenno cross and feeding the DC voltage proportional to the square of these variables to the moving coil of a dynamometer system, which is proportional or inversely proportional to the equivalent loss resistance of the object to be treated treatment is discontinued. The dynamometer will therefore display the product J2 R or E2 / R and thus the power consumed in the treatment object immediately with a direct deflection.
A schematic representation of the exemplary embodiment of the inventive concept is shown in the drawing. 1 denotes the electrodes of the treatment circuit, which form a closed circuit with self-induction 2. A variable capacitance 3, which enables the resonance determination or the compensation of the change in capacitance when the treatment object 4 is inserted, lies parallel to this circle. In the quality measurement, the visual oscillation circuit is excited by a suitably dimensioned excitation resistor J, which can also be a capacitance, by an auxiliary transmitter 7 that can be switched off by means of switch 6.
To measure the quality factor, a tube voltmeter 9 is provided via switch 8, calibrated in degrees of quality or directly in loss resistances. A thermocouple 10 in the treatment electrode branches feeds the moving coil 11 of a dynamometer system, the field coil 12 being fed from a direct current source 14 via a control resistor 13 which enables the current proportional or inversely proportional to the loss resistance to be set.
According to a further embodiment of the inventive concept, appropriate switch combinations can on the one hand ensure that the same galvanometer system is used to determine the loss resistance and measure the power, and on the other hand that the measurements are carried out in the correct order and the main transmitter only after switches 6 and 8 have been opened is switched on. Corresponding locking devices can also be provided which enable the loss resistance determination to be carried out only when the main transmitter is switched off.
