Windkraftwerk

Wind power plant
The subject matter of the invention is a wind power plant with several one behind the other and pivotable about a common axis
Propeller wheels. Such wind power plants are known per se, but they require special ones
Control measures so that the propeller wheels stay properly in the wind. There are also wind power plants known where the choice of
Area distribution of the propeller wheels and one
Control surface is achieved that the wind power plant is at too high wind pressure or at
Malfunctions caused by the wind.
The invention aims by corresponding
To achieve the formation of the propeller wheels and the propeller body that the wind power plant automatically positions itself in the wind direction.
An automatic adjustment of the wind power plant into the wind has particular operational advantages, since the maintenance of a uniform run does not have to be specially monitored.
The invention consists in that the
Area distribution of the propeller wheels and the
Propeller body so asymmetrical to
The pivot axis is selected so that the wind power plant automatically positions itself in the wind direction.
When the wind acts on the propeller wheels, this asymmetry always results in a moment that swivels the wind power plant in the wind direction. This pivoting moment can be increased by attaching guide plates between the propeller wheels, also asymmetrically to the pivot axis.
In the context of the invention, the number of blades of the propeller wheels is selected to be greater than that of the front propeller wheels in accordance with the decrease in wind speed in the case of the propeller wheels arranged further back.
Finally, it is provided within the scope of the invention that the individual propeller wheels act on the common output shaft via overrunning clutches.
An example embodiment of the wind power plant according to the invention is shown schematically in the drawing.
The propeller wheels 1, 2 and 3 lying one behind the other in the main wind direction are arranged asymmetrically to the pivot axis 13 of the wind power plant, so that the wind always generates a moment which the wind power plant automatically swivels in the wind direction. The propeller wheels 1, 2 and 3 are designed with constantly increasing diameters in order to
Current course of the wind, which after the
Widened passage through an impeller,
To take into account. In addition, the propeller wheels 2 and 3 located further back are designed with a larger number of blades than the further forward wheels 1 and 2. This takes into account that the wind flow loses speed after passing through a propeller wheel.
The individual propeller wheels 1, 2 and 3 act on a common output shaft 4 u. betw. expediently via overhaul clutches 5, so that differences in speed of the wheels do not have a disruptive effect on the energy consumption.
From this output shaft 4, a generator, which is indicated by 6, is driven.
The output shaft 4 is surrounded by a cover 7, the impellers themselves have the
Fairing 7 adapting, fairing rings 8 for their hubs. The beginning and the end of the wind power station are, as indicated at 9 and 10, also covered. Control surfaces 11 are arranged between the individual propeller wheels, u. betw. asymmetrical to the pivot axis 13 of the system. Control surfaces 11 are expediently attached only behind the swivel axis, so that when the wind flow acts on them, they cause a moment that acts in the same direction as the propeller wheels 2 and 3 behind the swivel axis supported.
The entire system is arranged on a schematically indicated tower 12.
