VERKOHLTER ORGANISCHER DÄMMSTOFF ALS LANDWIRTSCHAFTLICHER DÜNGERCARVED ORGANIC INSULATION AS AGRICULTURAL FERTILIZER
The invention relates to an agricultural coal fertilizer from organic insulation materials as a recycling solution.
Organic insulation materials are highly valued both in the renovation and in the new building as a particularly durable, environmentally sustainable insulation materials with excellent thermal insulation properties. The majority of these insulating materials are used as blow-in insulation materials. Often, these insulation materials can be reused after dismantling, the final disposal is carried out in waste incineration plants.
A disadvantage of this known recycling system is the fact that the thermal utilization on the one hand pollutes the environment and on the other hand mineral additives are not recycled.
Boron, nitrogen, magnesium or other mineral compounds are usually used as a flame retardant for organic insulation materials. However, these mineral compounds are predominantly agricultural authorized trace element fertilizers. This is the basis of the idea of the invention. Before the demolition or renovation of the building, the insulating material in the component is vacuumed or removed dust-free. This old insulation is charred in a professional pyrolysis furnace. Due to the mineral compounds contained in the insulating material as a fire retardant, this insulating coal can serve as a trace element fertilizer in agriculture. When mixed with manure, this coal reduces emissions due to the large effective surface area. Thus, not only unpleasant odors are avoided, but also bound volatile nitrogen compounds. The fertilizer effect of manure is thereby increased and harmful emissions are reduced. The application to the field takes place with existing manure technology and there are no extra transport and labor costs. The coal from the insulating material acts as a soil conditioner similar to the well-known Terra-Preta earth of the Amazon Indians and is not decomposed for centuries in the soil. Climate-damaging CO2 is therefore bound in the humus of the arable land and can reduce global warming. If agricultural crops such as maize / rapeseed / sugar beet etc. were fertilized with this insulating carbon, the cycle would be directly closed. The valuable raw materials are used in a long cascade.
