Bei schräg bezw. horizontal aufgehängten Gasglühlichtlampen bekannter Art werden die Glühstrümpfe nicht gleichmässig erhitzt und zum Leuchten gebracht, weil die aus dem Mischrohr austretende Flamme die obere Seite des Glühstrumpfes intensiver bestreicht, wie die untere Glühstrumpfhälfte. Ausser einem schlechteren Lichteffekte bringt dieser Umstand zufolge der ungleichmässigen Erwärmung des Strumpfes eine baldige Formveränderung und Zerstörung des Glühstrumpfes mit sich. Diesem Übel wird der vorliegenden Erfindung gemäss dadurch abgeholfen, dass die Austrittsmündung für das Gasluftgemisch in einem geeigneten Winkel angeordnet wird und eventuell schräge Hilfsbohrungen im Brennerkopfes vorgesehen werden.
Hiedurch wird die Brennerflamme gezwungen, zunächst die untere Gtuh- strumpfhälfte zu bestreichen und so eine gleichmässige Erhitzung und Lichtausstrahlung des Glühstrumpfes ermöglicht.
Bei der auf der Zeichnung in einem Längsschnitt durch den Brennerkopf a und in einem Schnitt durch diesen Brennerkopf veranschaulichten Ausführungsform der Erfindung sind ausser der schräg nach unten gerichteten Hauptbohrung b drei schräg nach unten gerichtete Hilfsbohrungen c in der unteren Hälfte des Brennerkopfes der horizontal auf- gehängten Gasglühlichtlampe vorgesehen.
